We're ashamed that we haven't taken the opportunity to give our five cents on "The Real Housewives of New York City," Bravo's east coast spin-off of their popular female driven reality show.

The Bravo cameras basically follow around a lot of rich socialites living in New York City, most of whom spend their summers in the Hamptons (of course).

Jill Zarin is probably the most well known 'housewife'. Jill and her husband Bobby run Zarin Fabrics and Home Furnishings in lower Manhattan. You can often spot Jill and Bobby on the society pages. As we can already tell in the first few episodes, the Zarin's are society climbers! Jill is a bit too diva for me. Anyone who storms out of a fashion show like it is on fire for being seated on the second row takes high maintenance to an all new level.

On the more relaxed side, there is LuAnn Countess de Lesseps, the wife of Alexandre Count de Lesseps whose family evidently built the Suez Canal and donated the Statue of Liberty to the U.S.

Rounding out the housewives in Manhattan are Ramona Singer and Bethenny Frankel.
Romona is an entrepreneur who runs her own fashion and jewelry company. This woman is a HUGE social climber. She would probably cut her sister's arm off to grab an unreleased handbag. There's also Bethenny Frankel, the only single woman on the show. Bethenny appeared on "The Apprentice" and is a natural-food chef trying who wants to become the "all-natural" Martha Stewart while looking for love in the city.

Alex McCord lives in Brooklyn. She has two kids with wacky names and hired a French au pair to teach them French. Her hubby gives off a major gay vibe, but definitely seems like the man who would feel you up if he caught you staggering around by the coat check. That is, if you can catch with without Alex in his shadow. These two are inseparable.

"The Real Housewives of New York City" airs every Tuesday night at 10pm EST on Bravo.
