Clinton leads popular vote, Obama has more delegates

Hillary Clinton leads the popular vote despite the fact that Barack Obama has a higher delegate count. The Democratic primary might resemble the 2000 election when George Bush won the election even though Al Gore won the popular vote.
Why does Clinton have more votes than Obama? The answer is simple: Florida and Michigan. Hillary won the primaries in both of those states giving her the popular vote wins. The problem is that the Democratic National Committee has stripped both Florida and Michigan of their delegates since they changed their election date.
If the DNC decided to allocate delegates to those two states, Clinton would lead by both popular vote and delegate count.
Clinton has 15.1 million votes to Obama's 15 million.
