Closing arguments begin in Sean Bell case

The closing arguments started on Monday in the trial against New York cops accused of killing Sean Bell outside of a Queens nightclub.
Here's an update:
NEW YORK (AP) - A New York detective's lawyer says one of Sean Bell's friends prompted the bridegroom's 50-shot police killing by threatening to get a gun during a standoff with another nightclub patron.
Attorney Paul Martin says Joseph Guzman -- who was seriously injured -- "was the catalyst of the event. He's the reason we're here today." Martin gave closing arguments Monday for Detective Marc Cooper, who has pleaded not guilty to reckless endangerment.
Cooper fired four of the shots during the 2006 incident that led to Bell's death.
Cooper's two co-defendants have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.
Detective Michael Oliver fired 31 rounds, including two that hit Bell in the neck and torso. Detective Gescard Isnora fired 11 times.
