If you've been checking the site this weekend, you know that Beyoncé and Jay Z set up a nice party in lower Manhattan on Friday night. All signs point to marriage considering they were issued a marriage license earlier this week.

People magazine is reporting that Beyoncé and Jay Z were infact married on Friday night.

"It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family," a friend confirmed to People.

The wedding was followed by a huge party at the Jay Z's Tribeca apartment. Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny's Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple's friend Gwyneth Paltrow were all spotted around Jay Z's place Friday night. Hudson street was even flooded with paparazzi.

The couple has been dating since 2002, but neither Beyoncé or Jay Z have ever really confirmed that they are an item -- much less getting married.
