We told you this was going to happen, and now it is official. Mariah Carey is officially bigger than Elvis Presley (on the Billboard charts any way!)

Mariah is probably my favorite female singer, and Elvis is definitely my favorite male singer - so it is really bitter sweet for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm SO happy for Mariah!

Carey has now had 18 number one hits, more than any other solo artist ever. With just a few more number ones, Mariah could take the top spot from the Beatles.

Her new song "Touch My Body" blew up the charts this week.

Mariah also broke internet download records with sales of 286,000 units, according to Nielsen SoundScan, topping the previous record set by Rihanna's "Umbrella," which shifted 277,000 last June.

"Touch My Body" also knocked last week's chart-topper, Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love," down to No. 4.
