Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts announced on Monday that she will no longer wear a wig while she is on the air.

Roberts, a breast cancer survivor, said it is finally time to loose the wig because "spring time is a time of renewal and growth."

Quoting India Arie, Roberts said, "I am not my hair."

"I am the soul that lies within," said Roberts of Arie's lyrics.

Roberts plans to donate the wig and have it auctioned off so that the proceeds can go to a charity that helps the uninsured.

Her colleagues commented on how quickly her hair is growing back, and Robin said she is using a product called hair fertilizer.
