NYT Styles gets etiquette column with impressive writer

galanesnytstyle.jpg

The New York Times' Sunday Styles will launch an etiquette column later this month, and Philip Galanes has been named as its writer.

Don't know who Philip is? We don't either, but according to WWD, he has a pretty impressive resume.

"Galanes is twice graduated from Yale, was an entertainment lawyer at white-shoe firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, has two novels to his name and dabbles as an interior designer."

Philip hasn't released an official statement, but according to his website he has a new novel coming out titled, "Emma's Table." It is decribed as a "Park Avenue morality tale," featuring a one-time "media darling...fresh from a year-long stretch in prison."
