RIP Anne d'Harnoncourt, Philadelphia's art champion

RIPdhartnoncaourt.jpgRIP. Anne d'Harnoncourt, the longtime head of the Philadelphia Museum of Art who championed art as essential to the city's financial and cultural vigor, has died. She was 64 years old. Evidnently, d'Harnoncourt died at home in Philadelphia on Monday morning of natural causes. Her death was unexpected. No further details about d'Harnoncourt's death were not released. Not only did Anne d'Harnoncourt change the face of the art front in Philadelphia, but she was one of the field's most important women. May she rest in peace.
